CC. C.Ridings at Rehoboth·2+ weeks agoAnyone here have a little knowledge of raising nesting baby birds or the love for them? Found six very young baby birds in my yard 4-5 days ago. They are doing well inside and they love to eat. My problem is my husband is having surgery on Salisbury, MD on Tuesday and is supposed to be discharged Thursday or Friday. The birds eat about every 4 hrs. They need to be in a quiet environment. They sleep through the night. CAN ANYONE HELP ME DURING THIS TIME? I will provide their food. Thank you!4Like14

DDELAWARE STATE POLICE2+ weeks agoAgency🔺Attention New Castle County residents 🔺 We've been made aware of a recent surge in spoofed phone calls targeting citizens, where scammers claim to be 'State Police Officers' from Troop 1. These scammers “spoof” your caller ID to display Troop 1's legitimate number (302-761-6677), as a deceitful tactic to gain your trust and exploit your data for fraudulent purposes. Your safety is our priority, so here's what you need to know: 🛑 If you receive a call from someone claiming to be a Trooper, always ask for proper identification. Then, independently verify their identity by calling their respective Troop. 🚫 Feeling pressured to provide personal information? Trust your instincts and hang up. Do not disclose any sensitive details over the phone. ⚠️ Remember, law enforcement agencies never solicit payment for fines, traffic tickets, or bail via phone calls. These matters are handled exclusively through official court systems. Additionally, electronic payments are never requested over the phone for court-related issues. Spread the word and protect yourself and your loved ones from falling victim to phone fraud. #PhoneScamAlert #DiamondStateProtectors #SafetyFirst162Like43

810Hopkins Farm CreameryOMG. So many incorrect answers on here. The truth is "Old man Hopkins" is very much alive, assuming you are referring to Walter Hopkins Sr. They did sell all of the cows and closed the dairy operation after 80 years which is sad but the expenses of operating a dairy farm versus the income made it a business decision. No land has been sold away for homes, not even partially. The entire farm is in Perpetual Farmland Preservation, meaning it will always be farm land and used for farming. The reason I know this is because the farm that is adjacent to the Hopkins is my family's farm and it too is in Perpetual Farmland Preservation and will never be developed. Hopkins Farm Creamery is still owned and operated by The Hopkins Family and their ice cream is still as delicious as ever so I hope everyone still stops by there to enjoy an ice cream cone, even if the sweet aroma of cow manure isn't filling the air. I hope this clears up any misconceptions or rumors and I'd be happy answer any questions.T.T ·Neighbor since 2018
