Arsenal are keen to further strengthen their squad this summer as they look to continue their progression under Mikel Arteta.
The Gunners have continued to improve each campaign under the tenure of their former midfielder and that is partly due to their shrewd activity in the transfer market.
In the summer of 2023, Arsenal broke their transfer record to sign Declan Rice from West Ham for €116.6 million.
In addition, Kai Havertz, Jurrien Timber and David Raya (loan) also arrived during the same window as the Gunners spent big after missing out on the English top flight title.
The club haven't been shy in splashing the cash recently to try and fight the might of Manchester City and Liverpool in the Premier League, and with an injection of Champions League money, they are set to splurge on transfers this summer once again.
We exclusively detailed via Steve Kay that Arsenal are prepared to SMASH their transfer record this summer, with Arteta set to be backed heavily in the transfer market.
As always with such a big club, the Arsenal transfer rumour mill is in full swing, with Arteta keen to add to the talent he has already brought to the club.

Bologna provide update on Calafiori
Bologna still retain hope of keeping Riccardo Calafiori.
The Italy defender has been strongly linked with Arsenal and Juventus this summer, but a departure isn't inevitable.
"We took him 12 months ago so we'll see what happens in the market but in our heads there is the will to keep him," Bologna technical director Giovanni Sartori said.
"We will try to keep him but if important offers arrive we will have to take them into consideration. I don't think he will go to Juventus, he will probably go to a different market."

Arsenal could sign Kounde from Barca
Arsenal want to sign at least one new defender this summer and have reportedly been offered the opportunity to pursue Barcelona's Jules Kounde.
Barca's economic situation means that they will need to sell players in order to buy more in this transfer window, and Sport reports that they could make as much as€60 million on Kounde.
However, the Frenchman's future will be dependant on the future of Ronald Araujo as the club won't sell both players. (Sport)

Isak deal increasingly unlikely
It is looking increasingly unlikely that Chelsea or Arsenal will sign Alexander Isak from Newcastle.
The Magpies were previously under pressure to sell players this summer before 30 June to comply with profit and sustainability regulations, but they have recently sold Elliot Anderson to Nottingham Forest and Yankuba Minteh to Brighton for around £65 million. The club are also on the cusp of offloading Miguel Almiron to the Saudi Pro League.
Newcastle are now under no pressure to sell Isak, though Chelsea and Arsenal both baulked at the £115m asking price for the Swedish striker. (Football London)
