Why can't I reply on Blizzard forums? ›

If you have problems posting on the forums: Log out and back in again. Check if your browser is out of date. Clear the cache and cookies in your browser.

Type in /resetchat in the chat window —this will restore your chat setting to default. If the issue persists reset your user interface to make sure your addons are not corrupted.

You will be unable to use the voice chat if your account is silenced. If your account is not silenced and is not a Starter Edition, check the following: If you have Parental Controls, make sure voice is enabled. Make sure you have the correct Windows Settings.

The term "soft reset" can also mean having all party/raid members leave the instance for at least 30 minutes. This causes any trash mobs that have been killed to respawn. The most common reason to do this (deliberately) is to farm trash mobs in raid instances, for reputation or rare drops.

In the Blizzard Battle.net desktop application, click Options (the cogwheel next to Play button) and select Show in Explorer (Windows®) or Reveal in Finder (Mac®). Open the World of Warcraft® folder. Rename the Cache, Interface, and WTF folders to CacheOld, InterfaceOld, and WTFOld.

Make sure your microphone or headset is plugged in. If you have Parental Controls enabled, make sure voice chat hasn't been disabled. If your microphone or headset has a mute switch, make sure it's unmuted. Make sure you have the correct microphone selected under Input Device in the Settings menu.

Check your in-game audio settings in the game's options menu. Make sure Enable Music and Enable Sound are checked, Master Volume is set appropriately, and your Output Device, Speaker Setup, Sound Quality, and Sound Channel are correct.

WoW has a pretty great voice chat system, why not have it on by default with some individual toggles to adjust other players' audio volume or mute them.

Click the upper Ignore tab. Click the character to highlight them, then click the Ignore Player button. If you can't see the character, click the Ignore Player button and enter their name in the text field, then click Accept.

You can chat to players in game privately using whispers. All messages with players will show up by default at the bottom-left of your screen. To whisper someone, hit the "Return" key, type "/tell" and then the name of the player. You can then type a message privately to that player.

Details. By default, yells also appear as a chat bubble over the player's head. This does not bypass ignore functionality. Opposite faction players will see the player speaking in encoded text, appearing as a different language.

To access your chats on the Battle.net desktop or mobile app, click on Chats and Groups. You can have conversations with individual friends, or groups of friends if you create a Blizzard Group.
